MY WORK
Series:
GENERAL ABSTRACTIONS
These works arise from spontaneous inspirations that are not related to any particular series.

PREAMBULO AZULADO
This series represents the lapse of time before the abstraction of a painting materializes. In this case, the evolution goes beyond a simple sketch.

MUSICA
As an artist, I am obligated to denounce the negative political decisions of groups in power. In my internal frustration, I no longer display impotence, but rather I dance a satyrical dance attributed to the atrocious acts prevalent in our society.

ADAGIO
Adagio utilizes symbolism to relate the different stages of my artistic experiences. Since the beginning, my story enfolds with public events that have shaped my journey in international art venues in New York, Central America and the Caribbean. These all culminate in the defined vision that I have for my professional future.

REALIDAD Y FANTASMAS DE UN ARTISTA
These works display the dichotomy of the artist's existence. The metaphysical division between the artist creating the work and the entranced observer who absorbs the emotional evolution of the piece. In addition, the use of color and technique in these works originate from my Caribbean influences.

CIUDAD FLOTANTE
Ciudad Flotante is the counterpart of Metropolis in which certain classes of people are forced to move to undeveloped areas without the structure and resources of the Great Metropolis. Their modest homes can only float since they are displaced time and time again by the government, natural disasters and social margination. They are condemned to conditions which place them at risk of poverty and peril. Ironically, these downtrodden people are the ones whose labor ensures the constant modernization of the Metropolis despite their daily migration back to their own substandard shelters.

METROPOLIS
Metropolis is the random growth of urbanization without careful control and planning. In these works, the collapse of overlapping buildings accompanied by modernism generate tension in its own inhabitants. Inside the confusing metropolis, the human being forgets where he is from and where he is going. He is confused by the noise, consumerism and his worst enemy, time. This series reflects this social chaos.

LOS MONSTRUOS DEL QUIJOTE
Based upon the personal demons seen in the novel by Cervantes, Don Quixote. These works invite each one of us to confront our own demons such as fears of solitude and death ... we are all Quixote and Sancho is our conscience.

NIÑOS DE GUERRA
These works are inspired by the violence caused by the diamond trade in Sierra Leone. The children are forced to exchange their toys for weapons of war and they are surrounded by terror and fear. This series in particular also denounces the children orphaned and homeless as a product of violence; this causes their inevitable and universal struggle with drugs, prostitution and social abandonment. Their childhood is lost and they perpetually run in search of freedom.

MUJER U OBJETO
The story told from the perspective of personal experience depicting the effect of violence upon all those women and children who have been betrayed by those closest to them. Women and children whose lives have been taken due to domestic violence. To date, thousands of women and children have been assassinated within their own families. Domestic violence does not respect religion, class, or race, and is prevalent in all of our societies. Through these works, I demand that your attention be drawn to this social epidemic.

URBANO
Urbano is a facade of images collected throughout my travels. It is a combination of varied social structures, classes and cultures which reflect the current ways in which we live. It is the blend of the architecture of modern man.
